Clear Sky Bank 3.75% Savings Account

A new bank that is offering a great deal on opening a savings account which is good all the way till 3/31/09 is Blue Sky internet bank. The minimum balance is $1 to opening a new checking account, and there are no monthly fees at all.

Clear Sky Bank also offers a tiered-rate checking account which you might be interested in which also have no monthly fees or dues.

This type of checking account is paperless and is completely managed online. Another bank which may come to your mind when thinking of this type of account is ING Direct’s Electric Orange savings and checking accounts.

If you are also in the market for investing in some good bank cd rates accounts then you might want to check theirs out as well. They have some nicely competitive rates with a 3.75% APY on a 19 month CD, a 3.51% APY 13-month CD and a 3.40% APY 7-month CD which can all be managed online. These are very good short term certificate of deposit rates, and you wont want to pass up on this deal even if you are looking at money market accounts.

  1. As an employee of Chesapeake Bank, I just wanted to speak to a couple of items on your post about our Clear Sky Accounts division. We are a 100+ year old bank that has recently begun to offer high-yield online accounts through our Clear Sky branch. Chesapeake Bank is an FDIC insured institution and has a rating of four stars based on bankrate.com’s rating system. You can learn more about the bank at http://www.chesbank.com. Also, check out our current CD rates at http://www.clearskyaccounts.com, as they have changed since this post.

We are still offering the savings account special that you mention. And, we have a high-yield checking account available.

Thanks and please contact me if you have further questions. Paula
